Teaching Style: Lovin' on your body, getting out of your comfort zone
Samantha was intuitively called to movement practices in search of healing. This calling was not initially met with joyous excitement, as the fears of being too fat, too out of shape, and too tired started to creep in. It was through her yoga practice that Samantha was able to start to face those stories and begin to dismantle them, internally. Her offering is to create a space where all bodies and all abilities can feel safe and empowered to find their own healing through intuitive movement and meditation.
Samantha is a high school special education teacher who earned her 200-hr certification through Breathe for Change, an organization for classroom teachers designed to support the wellness of students and teachers through yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and social emotional learning opportunities. Her intention is to empower people to harness their self-care practices to manifest restorative justice for themselves and others.
Teaching Style: Strength-based, intentional, hip hop dance vibes
Sami aims to bring a holistic approach to life & to all of the classes she teaches. She has a diverse background: she completed her 200-hour YTT with Carrie Tyler of Rasamaya at the age of 16, holds a degree in Alternative Medicine, is a certified doula and aspiring midwife, holistic life coach, Reiki practitioner, children's & teens yoga instructor, and trained in trauma-informed yoga for 12 step recovery.
Sami was brought to yoga because of illness, so in every class there is a celebration of what the body CAN do & how good it feels to be alive!
Sami believes deeply in the importance of the chakras & they are seamlessly infused in all of the work she does.
Teaching Style: Dance queen cardio
Ali is a New England native with a passion for the human experience. With a history in sports such as track, rowing, and basketball, Ali understands and promotes a healthy mind-body connection. This knowledge, coupled with a colorful background in various types of dance, has given Ali the ability to identify and maximize kinesthetic potential. She applies her expertise in the gym, the ballroom, and the everyday streets of Boston.
Teaching Style: Party vibes
Emily's classes combine a fluid expression of the asanas with an accessible approach to the spiritual foundation of yoga. She received her 200 hour certification from Health Yoga Life in Boston in 2014. In 2011 she received her Bachelor's in Dance.
Emily believes wholeheartedly that the practice of movement and spirituality can change one's life, that each person has the right to fulfill their class, and this is what she has set out to teach.
Marissa is a California native who recently moved to New England where she reclaimed her lifelong passion for dance and movement! Marissa began her journey at The Cure Studios as a student and was so inspired by her unique experience here that she decided to become a teacher in hopes of spreading the same empowerment to others. Marissa is a true believer in holistic health on the dance floor, in the gym and in her every day life. She invites others to join her as she navigates her way as a new dance instructor.
